Before leaving for India, Ray goes to the zoo in Madison one last time to say "see you later" to his friends.
As always, Ray visits the buffalo first.
Later, the tiger is a lot like what he expects to find while in Asia.
Pacing around a closed space like the tiger makes total sense to Ray, who measures the length of the area in paces.

Hi Ray - love the photos and quick clips. Thanks for your e-mail, it's around 4:15 AM so that would be 5:45 PM there. Jess is in Ho Chi Minh, VN & there it's 7:15 PM, and my brother Carl is in Olangapo, PI it's 8:15 PM Interestingly enough all four of us are still in the same day. I google mapped, you guys are just a few miles north of Om, Half Moon, and Paradise beaches...sounds Divine! Thanks for staying in touch, gonna catch 40 winks, shall write later. BTW, interview went well, I'm in, funding is there, retirement kicks in this month, still collecting UI benefits, now on 3rd extension. Life is good! Still, in ways, wish I was with you guys!
